I have taught the piano to over 250 children specialising in the 7-13 age range,mainly in the boarding school environment. I was an assistant director of music for 15 years. My home teaching has had more focus since 2016 where I have regularly taught the older age groups.

I strive to give a lively and fun approach while being mindful of the importance of proper technique and musical development. I also arrange bi-annual pupil concerts, and regard this opportunity of high importance.

I believe the study of music teaches us a particular understanding of the self, providing a unique form of expression, discovery, communication and enrichment to our lives, and a unique and far-reaching educational experience.

I teach my private pupils at home on the Fordingbridge/Sandleheath border in a dedicated music room. More details are available on request.

My fees are based on a 5% discount off the Musicians Union minimum rate.
