Tim teaches fundamental playing techniques, an understanding of music theory, and ear training. His goal is to create a foundation for understanding, reading and performing music, and he is extremely passionate about instilling a love for music in students of every age. With over 36 years of piano teaching experience, his students have participated in many different competitions on the local, state and national levels. He currently has students involved in the youth divisions of the Steinway competitions.

Tim graduated with honors from Oral Roberts University (Tulsa, Oklahoma) with a music degree majoring in piano. He and his wife are co-owners of Taylor House of Music in the Kansas City suburb of Blue Springs, Missouri. Not only does he provide musical instruction in his studio, he is currently giving private lessons online to students across the country.

30-minute and 45-minute weekly lessons are available as well as the 60-minute weekly lesson!
