Sanjoy Das was born in a musical family. His father inspired him to learn tabla at a very early age. He started learning tabla from Ustad Sabir Khan. Then he continued his professional talim with Guru Sri Nikhilesh Mitra and developed his musical career, after his sad demise later he came under the guidance and became a disciple of Pt. Sanjoy Mukherjee. Now he is continuing his learning and musical journey with his guru shri Ashim Bhattacharjee. He has an experience of more than 25 years as a tabla artist , guide and teacher.He also have the experience of teaching students online around the world.He performed with many famous and telented musician around the world,in many prestigious music festival and conference.He establish himself as a solo performar and accompanying artist.He is an empaneled Tabla player in EZCC Academy. He is a co- music instructor at Kumaon regiment Indian Army. He is now teaching at Aashish Khan School of World Music as Tabla Faculty.
