My name i s Lev A l e e v, and I was b o r n on A p r i l 7, 2004, in K y i v, U k r a i n e , i n t o a f a m i l y of
m u s i c i a n s . From a n e a r l y a g e , I s h o w e d i n t e r e s t i n m u s i c a n d b e g a n s t u d y i n g t h e c e l l o i n
Kyiv, where I t r a i n e d u n t i l t h e age of 10.
I n 2014, I moved to S o f i a , B u l g a r i a , and continued my education a t the National School of
Music BbLyubomir PipkovBhK under t h e g u i d a n c e of S e t a B a l t a y a n , a d i s t i n g u i s h e d
pedagogue, laureate of the 4th prize at the Tchaikovsky Competition in 1974, and a student
o f M s t i s l a v R o s t r o p o v i c h . I g r a d u a t e d f r o m t h e s c h o o l i n 2022.
A f t e r g r a d u a t i o n , I was a d m i t t e d t o t h e U n i v e r s i t y o f Music and Performing A r t s i n Graz
t h e ( U n i v e r s i t a t t u t e l a g e f l j r Musik und d a r t e l l e n d e Kunst Graz), where I c o n t i n u e my s t u d i e s under
o f P r o f e s s o r J o h a n n e s K r e b s .
