Julie Ann Carr is a professional concert organist, pianist and singer born in Southport, Merseyside in the North West.
She has travelled widely during her career, performing at many Concert Halls and Cathedrals in this country and various venues in Europe as demonstrator for Johannus organs for many years.
Julie studied the classical organ at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and towards the end of her time there she won the Under 21 section of the Dunfermline Abbey Organ Competition—as a result of this her concert career began.
A few years later, Julie was praised in the ‘Organists’ Review’ as “a performer of the highest calibre—with a wicked sense of humour!” as her varied (and often shocking) choice of programme appeals to many.
Julie enjoys teaching at home and local colleges. Several of her students have gone on to appear in national shows. She is available for concerts throughout the UK. Recent concerts include the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral in 2019.
Julie has a number of albums available for purchase on CD/DVD.
