I studied at the Royal Academy of Music and later with Jacqueline du Pre and Christopher Bunting. I made my London debut at the Purcell Room in 1983 as one of twelve artistes to take part in the Young Musicians' Series. This led to three further recitals at the same venue. I have had regular and varied experience of recital and concerto work throughout England, Scotland and Europe. I have also recorded for many northern radio stations.
I have been teaching and coaching chamber-music for over forty years in schools and privately. Examination results have been excellent. Many of my pupils have performed in concerts and festivals as soloists and in chamber-music. Several have become professional musicians and many have joined orchestras and still enjoy playing.
I also teach violin, piano, recorders, singing, theory.
