Have been musical director for five amateur operatic societies in the Manchester area, and also for a choral society. Head of Music in schools in Stockport and Manchester. Worked for 13 years in the Manchester Education Music Service running a Music Centre. Have played E flat bass in a brass band and Werneth Concert Band (now retired from this activity). Play the piano and am now a church organist. Have a special interest in the music of Christian hymnody. Compositions for choir, brass band and choir, recorders, orchestra etc. -(regrettably, none published) Have vast listening experience of all genres of music..
