I am a fully qualified Private Piano teacher (see below) with over 40 years experience and have also had many years experience as a classroom and nursery music teacher.

As well as being a piano teacher I am currently also church organist with responsibility for the small church choir and I direct my own choir for weddings and funerals.

I am able to give piano lessons in a dedicated music room on a grand piano, to pupils of all ages from 8 to seniors, as well as online, from complete beginner to grade 8. Pupils have the opportunity to take face-to-face or digital exams, either with the ABRSM or Trinity, depending on which is the most suitable choice for them.

I am particularly keen that pupils learn from pieces they enjoy and use those pieces to add to their overall musical knowledge, and technique. I try to encourage a wide range of musical styles at every level of learning.

My hobbies are walking, cooking, gardening and knitting.

Fees

£ 40.00 Pounds Per Hour
I prefer lessons to be between 40 and 45 minutes depending on the pupil’s standard, although very young beginners normally have 30 minutes and many advanced pupils have 1 hour.
